For the record, I'm playing the PS4 Special Edition using the unofficial patch mod. Most of the posts I've stumbled across are old, so I don't know if any game breaking glitches can still happen. I've been hearing conflicting reports regarding Civil War and the Main Quest, though. I've met the Greybeards and probably will do the next quest after I've finished the Thieves Guild storyline (I've already done Dark Brotherhood). Luckily, you dont have worry that who you worked with at.
At the end of that assignment you can get an invitation from Hadvar or Ralof to join the Imperial Legion of the Stormcloak Rebellion. I'm trying to save the completion of the Main Quest for the absolute ending (maybe a few misc quests left, but nothing else).
